MFMC UNIFORMS

United States Marine Corps Emblem
The history of the Marine Corps emblem is a story related to the history of the Corps itself. The emblem  of the 20th Century traced its roots to the designs and ornaments of early Continental Marines as well as British Royal Marines. The emblem took its form in 1868. Before that time many devices, ornaments, and distinguishing marks followed one another as official marks of the Corps.

The MFI Marine Corps Uniform Standards:
Last updated: 26 May 2003

The basis of the MFMC uniform is the basic duty and dress uniform as the MFI Standard Uniform as found at the Maquis Forces International Website (www.maquis.com ). There are samples of the uniforms on display under “The Maquis Mall”. These uniforms are composed of a top (hereafter called a “tunic”), pants, shoes, beret, and the appropriate insignias that indicate rank, academy honors (courses completed), post held, affiliations. Uniform Tunics may be purchased or hand manufactured, as falls to the discretion of the owner. It must be stressed that owning/wearing a standard uniform is NOT a membership requirement of MFI, nor the MFI Marines… but it is encouraged for the purpose of e’spirit de Corps. Besides…It looks extremely cool at conventions! Branch (Post) Insignias are derived from the US Army standard emblems (Intelligence, Logistics, Aviation, Engineering, etc., etc.) Ranks and specialty badges (pilots, spec ops, etc., etc.) are derived from USMC standards, ribbons and awards to be announced at a later date, probably CAP. In cases where the army or USMC insignia can not be suitably altered in order not to offend active duty personnel any other sci fi insignia that equals that MOS etc is authorized. Using established emblems makes obtaining them much easier. *changing them is recommended, different color etc.

*PLEASE NOTE: This is not Canon! it is only meant as a guideline. Also note at the end are general additions to this document. Also a partial list of uniform sources.
